Beam display
Hi everyone, i would like some aid about the representation of beams.
I have recently started to explore revit, having used autocad profes-sionaly for more than 8 years. I am also a archicad user, but i can tell that revit is much more a "complete" program for an engineer than other BIM software. I will post more comments in the future.
For now, my problem is with beams. In Greece we build mainly concrete structures ( columns, beams, slabs). When i draw a rectangular beam
between my columns, i can't manage it's display in plan view (as you can see what i want to do in my dwg i have uploaded).
I have tried to alter my top range view, play with the lines but nothing. The only way is to create a new reflection plan, where i can see my beams, but then i have problem with the cut range.
Any TIPS regarding beams and columns would be great.
Congratulations for reviting.net, nice job so far.

Hi
Gday Mate,
Have you tried changing the detail level to Fine?
Also, when you place the beam, check your placement plane (on the Options Bar).
